Former Iron Maiden drummer Clive Burr has passed away.
The world always seems a little less real on days like this. Or maybe as real as it can be? The official Iron Maiden website brings the sad news that Clive Burr passed away Tuesday March 12, 2013. Burr played drums on the first three Iron Maiden albums (Iron Maiden, Killers, The Number Of The Beast), and was a huge part of creating the classic Maiden sound.
Burr had suffered poor health for many years, and the Iron Maiden website reports that he died peacefully in his sleep last night.
