There has been a lot of speculation about whether Iron Maiden will be one of the headliners for the 2013 edition of the traveling festival Sonisphere. Today several of the Sonisphere Facebook pages has been updated with the 2013 artwork.

Last week French newspaper Le Republicain Lorrain revelead that Iron Maiden will be headlining the French Sonisphere in Amneville on the 9th of June. The concert has not yet been confirmed by offical sources. However, chances seem high that Maiden will appear in both the Italian and Spanish editions of the festival in early June.

Iron Maiden headlined Sonisphere UK, Finland and Sweden in 2010, and Poland, Czech Republic, Turkey and Swizerland in 2011.
