Happy Holidays!

christmas6

Here we are, at the end of another Maiden-tastic year! And we’ve got a great 2014 to look forward to as well.

It seems the major festival dates have all been announced, and that Iron Maiden will wait until the new year to announce their other shows for 2014. So it’s time for a holiday!

The 2013 Maiden England tour wound down in Chile this October, but just a few weeks later announcements were already being made about another Maiden England leg in 2014! This time there is a promise of setlist changes, but what’s out and what’s in is anyone’s guess. We’ve already had ours right here, and we’ll be heading out on the road next summer to see what’s in store on the final ever History tour.

We’re also hoping that 2014 will see an addition to the catalog of Maiden concert films, as the Maiden England show really deserves a DVD/BD release, don’t you think?

Eddie shows the way! They would never have found Jesus without him.

We’ll also keep adding articles to all our categories. The in-depth FEATURE FRIDAY will return with lots of nerdy action, there is more to come FROM THE VAULT, we’ll keep discussing what’s BEST & WORST about all things Maiden, and there will be more FUN FACTS coming your way. If you click on these, you’ll find what’s already there!

Oh, and if you’d like to write for us, about whatever Maiden’s on your mind, don’t hesitate to get in touch! We’re easy to reach through our Facebook page.

Enjoy your holidays, people! We’ll see you all in 2014!

  1. Merry Christmas guys. Have a fantastic one. Fridge is stocked up with a few bottles of Trooper, so it’s gonna be a good one!

  2. Hi Christian are you on twitter ? eoindalybsc if you are is my twitter name – huge maiden fan from Ireland, great articles

    • And we’re missing news from Maiden! It’s sure to heat up soon, and we’ll be back at it. 🙂

      • Well, I did hear from an extremely reliable source that none of the boys have Facebook accounts, so anyone who’s “friends” with them, it’s not them. Especially the one who calls himself Steve “the ‘Arry,” who actually goes so far to impersonate him, “announce” tour dates that don’t exist, and seduce Latina women.

That’s all the news I’ve got! (More of a “public service announcement” really…)

  3. While we’re all waiting…. could anyone answer a question? Does H live in London? We took the kids to see a pantomime at a north London theatre, and on the list of “Friends” of the theatre, amongst actors and other celebs, was one Adrian Smith. How likely that it was our own amigo?

  4. Yeah, if I had my Mother’s unmarried surname (sorry, I was trying not to say Maiden!!), my name would be Adrian Smith too.

  5. Apparently, Adrian lives in Gerrards Cross in Buckinghamshire, which is around 20 miles outside London, so not too far away for Panto!

    • The dates already announced are probably all the festival dates. We expect announcements for Maiden’s own “around the festivals” dates very soon. Since the band is not venturing outside of Europe, Florida seems very unlikely. But who knows for sure?

  6. We did a speculation piece back in November: https://maidenrevelations.com/2013/11/26/on-tour-2014-hot-tips-on-where-to-see-iron-maiden-next-summer/

Much of that turned out to be accurate. When it comes to the rest, any country that was not visited in 2013 and is within fairly close logistical distance of the already announced festivals, should stand a chance. But between kick-off in late May and the final show at Sonisphere UK in early July, there isn’t room for many more shows. Maybe just 3 or 4.

Norway would seem logical, as they haven’t visited since 2011. No idea about Ireland. We don’t have much info to go on just yet, but announcements can’t be far away.
