The guys from the website was apparently celebrating with the Hellfest organizers this past weekend in their private headquarters in Clisson.
If you take a close look at the flyer, you can see that the festival will no doubt be headlined by the rumored trio of Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath and Aerosmith, as we’ve previously been writing about. But the most interesting part is that it might have the answer to the million dollar question – what will be the theme of the tour? If you zoom in on the image you can see that they’re still using the red Maiden England logo to promote the gig.
In an hour Sonisphere UK will make their first announcement, which we have discussed might be the mighty trio of Iron Maiden, Metallica and Black Sabbath. Maybe we’ll get the official confirmation then.
I really hope they don’t tour maiden england again…
To be honest, I’d rather have a Maiden England tour with a twist, like they did with the Somewhere Back in Time Tour in 2009 than a 1992 oriented setlist. The latter would probably mean that they would swap the interesting songs from the Maiden England set for Be Quick or Be Dead, Tailgunner and Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter and a more stripped down production. Hopefully we’ll know more in a couple of minutes 🙂
I’d really like watching Maiden do something ballsy like make a tour for their most controversial albums, than to turn their backs on their own history and simply ignore this period, which beside the bad moments gave us some pretty great music in my opinion as well…
Just been on the Maiden site, it IS the Maiden England tour that will be kind of continued next year
